From source to decision. Step by step.

A report arrives. It needs to be linked to a property, contains a statement and may raise new questions. This case shows how evidence verification begins and where the decision process is intended to lead.

The approach

Every statement needs
evidence.

An illustrative example involving a fire alarm system. What matters is what the source actually proves and which question remains unresolved.

    Assign

    A report is linked to the property, building system and relevant period.

  2. 02

    Reconcile

    A possible duplicate or contradictory date stays visible for review.

  3. 03

    Expert review

    The responsible person clarifies source and statement. Remaining uncertainty stays visible.

  4. 04

    Resolve open items

    If an expected record is missing, asset management clarifies the open item with the supplying party.

'Record missing' is a precise statement.

This leaves open whether the maintenance took place. A newly received document does not prove that an issue has been resolved either. A status comparison shows an observed change, not its cause.
